Dear Xanga,

We've known each other such a long time now and I appreciate everything that we've been through. ...But there comes a time in life when we all just need to move on. I'm sorry, but there's someone else.

I hope we can still be friends.

Sincerely,

Always saying goodbye.

Hey bloggers! It's Sunday morning and I'm already back at school. BOOO. I didn't even get to go to church :( It was either coming back in the morning or late at night and I have stuff to do....so yeah.

Freshmen Summer Program is almost over! One more week plus one day (for the final!!! ahhh). I'm really sad. Just as I start getting close to some people, we have to move out and go on with our lives. Not cool. I'm sure I'll meet people during the school year, but I'm just gonna miss a lot of people from this program. We're all gonna be living in different places, taking different classes, eating at different dining halls....I've grown accustom to them :( No more floor meetings, late night study sessions in the lounge, coffee runs, DANCE breaks, etc. GAHHH. This sucks. I hate goodbyes.

Julie's birthday dinner was last night. It was reallllly nice seeing old faces again. I miss the hugs, the endless laughter, and reminiscing on old times. Spending time with them makes me miss them even more. Everyone is going off to different colleges. It was nice to have at least one last goodbye.

My brother is moving out next Monday. He's gonna be three hours away. I didn't realize I wouldn't see again before he left...I'm so stupid. I didn't say goodbye.

Food-poisoning and fire alarms.

What a productive weekend.

I decided not to go home this weekend, but I did not get anything done at home last weekend. Plus my English Comp class is taking a field trip to MOCA and Chinatown tomorrow. We get extra credit, so I might as well go.

Something I ate at the dining hall yesterday for lunch gave me food poisoning. I went to bed at 3 and woke up at 9 when my mom came by to drop off some stuff. I took a shower and I went back to sleep. I felt awful. I used two blankets and I turned up my heater, but I was still cold and I had chills running throughout my body. My mom called me this morning and woke me up around 9. I spent the rest of the day in my room watching tv, attempting to read, and taking naps. I wasn't planning on leaving my room until we had to evacuate the building when the fire alarm went off. I was asleep when it happened and I literally jumped out of bed and ran out of my room. I didn't grab my room key or even put on my shoes. -_- I panicked okay?!??!

Damn you Rieber Dining Hall. I hate you for making me feel so miserable. On top of this, my entire body has been aching from the past three days of intense workout. I went to a kick boxing class on Tuesday. It was so intense. I've never sweated so much in my life. The instructor made us do everything from jumping jacks, to push-ups, to planks. It was quite the workout. Then on Wednesday night, there was an event at the John Wooden center at night. It was from 9 to midnight. It was really fun. I took a hip-hop class for the first hour and I realized that I was not made to dance. I cannot follow choreography to save my life. It was actually quite embarrassing. After that I was going to take a belly dancing class, but I figured I would suck at that too so I went to play dodgeball. I guess I am a tomboy on some level. I ended up playing dodgeball for like two hours. It was so fun. Also quite a workout. Then on Thursday, we had a floor competition of Prison Ball. It's like extreme dodgeball in a sense. When you are "out" you go to prison on the opposing team's side and you are allowed to get people out from behind. It's actually really scary if you think about it. You have to watch out from both sides. There was this one time I was the last person out on my team and I ended up running around in circles screaming my head off. I was so scared, but it was fun. Hahaha. Also quite the workout!

So basically, by Friday my entire body was sore and I had difficultly moving. It even hurt to laugh. For some reason my ribs were really sore too. The walk to class seemed never ending. I actually felt like I was dying. After after the hours of sleep I got yesterday, I feel a lot better. Once my stomach feels better, I'll be myself again :)

Thanks for reading.

The secret life of a bored college student.

Hey bloggers! I just realized that I have not updated in a few days. Hahaha. I don't know why, but I just haven't really had the urge to blog. Or maybe it's just because nothing interesting has really happened...

Well, the last time I updated was the last day of orientation... That was like what 12 days ago? I honestly don't remember a lot of the things that have happened since. We started summer classes! I'm taking English Composition and Composition Literature: Great Books of the World. I LOVE my English Composition class. Seriously!!! We've had several intense debates and a lot of the new concepts that my professor introduces to us just completely blows my mind. There are so many things that I never would have thought of that just make so much sense. It really makes me analyze text in a whole different way. It's awesome.

My Composition Literature class on the other hand..... Well, all I can say is that I really enjoy reading the text my professor assigns to us, but she is sooo boring. Lectures are the worst. The classroom is freezing, there are like 100+ students and my professor goes off on random tangents. Don't get me wrong though, my professor is really nice and she's really funny. I just find it really hard to concentrate when she's talking about something completely random. She's Yugoslavian by the way. I just thought that was cool. Discussion for this class is a lot better. If it weren't for discussion, I would be totally lost. I'm also taking the Honors section for this class, so I have to stay an extra hour on Mondays. It's not a big deal.

Yep, so that's with classes. What else?
Our dining hall flooded yesterday.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk to class.
I took a kick boxing class yesterday. I am so sore!
There's a dodgeball tournament today. Yippeee.
I went home for the weekend and I didn't do any of my homework.
I read a novel in two days. I thought that was pretty impressive.
I joined Intervasity! :)
I'm not going home this weekend.
I have a tv in my room! I'm watching Family Guy right now.
And my roomie brought a fridge!

That's all I can think of right now.
If I can't think of it now, then it's probably not important.

Goodbye! Thanks for reading! :)

Officially a Bruin<3

Today was the last day of Orientation! Last night was Carpe Noctem, which is basically a scavenger hunt that was around the WHOLE CAMPUS. It was crazy. My team started off running (I told them not to, but they didn't listen), we didn't know where everything was, and my feet were killing me. It took us two hours. The winning team took one. Haha. Oh well, it was pretty fun minus the times people on my team started turning on each other, arguing, being stubborn, etc. So yeah, I got back to my dorm at 2, didn't sleep until 2:30. I slept through breakfast this morning because I was just wayyy too exhausted.

What's even worse is that I had to skip through dinner last night because I was working on my stupid schedule. It was soooo difficult! Oh man. I satisfied my math requirement, so I ended up not taking stats. Strangely I was looking forward to it...haha. But yeah and I'm working on my Writing requirement through the Freshman Summer Program, so I don't have to take that either. So basically I ended up registering for Psychology 10, Astronomy 4, and GE Cluster East Asian Studies. Yeah baby, I am so excited. Psychology and East Asian Studies were basically set, so I was having the most trouble with my GE. I either couldn't find one that looked interesting enough for me to take it or it didn't fit into my schedule. When it finally came down to it, it was between Women's Studies and Astronomy. Astronomy! Heck yeah. Haha. Long story short, I spent literally about four hours on my schedule, I skipped dinner and breakfast, and I am satisfied with my Fall classes! Woot!

Campus tour was today. I hated them for making us walk so much especially after Carpe Noctem last night, but it was sooo amazingly fun! Can't spoil the details sorry! Only for Bruins :) We ended our tour on the court of Pauley Pavilion (our home basketball court)! I was sooo excited you have no idea.

My suite-mates and a few friends headed for the gym tonight. I feel great :)

I'm heading to bed now. Talk to you guys later!
